What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lawn Mowing position at Glacier Landscape, Inc.?
SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position is responsible for the mowing, trimming, and cleanup of lawns for residential and commercial properties. Employees must demonstrate a high degree of customer service and customer interaction. In addition, other duties ( such as light landscaping, mulching, and deliveries) can be assigned during other time periods.
HOURS OF WORK: Because this is a weather-dependent outdoor position, hours may be adjusted at any time. Normal work hours are 40 – 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some Saturday work. The normal work year is Spring through Fall, however, more hours may be available for snow removal in the Winter.
REQUIRED LICENSES: A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience with Scag mowers, both riders and stand behinds, push mowers, blowers and trimmers are preferred, but training is available for qualified candidates. Employees must be mechanically inclined and have a good work ethic.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The following duties are included for this position:
- Mow lawns using hand, power, or riding lawnmowers
- Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, trees, walls, etc.
- Operate power blowers to clean up sidewalks, driveways, etc.
- Must be able to work independently and/or with other mowing crews
- Participate in Spring and Fall cleanups as required
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB LOCATION: Madison metropolitan area.
