About Us
Gladney is a mission-driven organization dedicated to helping children find loving homes through adoption. Our international adoption programs support families through every step of the adoption process, ensuring compliance, organization, and compassionate guidance.
We are seeking a Program Assistant / Caseworker to provide administrative and client support for our international adoption programs. This role involves assisting families and Program Managers through the paperwork and dossier process, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Client Support & Case Coordination
- Guide families through the adoption process, answering questions and providing necessary information.
- Assist families with dossier preparation, including notarizations, certifications, and legalizations.
- Act as a liaison between families, home study agencies, and government entities (e.g., USCIS).
- Ensure documentation meets all state and country requirements.
- Audit client files at key adoption stages, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain client records in SharePoint and SAM database.
Program & Administrative Support
- Coordinate and send information packets and correspondence to families.
- Manage mailings, including FedEx and DHL shipments.
- Assist with reviewing child files and advocating for waiting children and families.
- Conduct regular client audits to ensure families stay engaged in the process.
- Provide project support to Program Managers as needed.
Event & Community Engagement
- Assist with adoption-related events, training sessions, and fundraisers.
- Participate in hosting programs, engaging with children and families.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of experience in adoption, social services, or a related field preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- Passion for helping children and families navigate the adoption journey.
