Position Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Wixom, MI

To meet our customer’s demand for superior service and delivery, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator who can assume the lead role of overseeing G MC’s Logistics department. You will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating the logistical operations of our company. You will be responsible for managing inventory, transportation systems, and materials handling to ensure efficient supply chain management. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing logistics data, negotiating with suppliers, and optimizing processes to meet the demands of our e-commerce operations. Description of the work:
· Work with Shipping Manager to set clear expectations for the team and hold them accountable to follow all Glass and Mirror craft safety guidelines.
· Ensure that Glass and Mirror Craft’s delivery drivers are following all pre-trip and post-trip expectations including truck inspections, DOT Log performance and completion, COM procedure, return procedure, pattern procedure, truck cleanliness, and route performance.
· Track truck maintenance expenditures and stay on top of preventive maintenance for the entire truck fleet.
· Monitor driving patterns and routes to ensure optimal performance in order to ensure adequate time is provided for drivers to make all required stops.
· Hold Pre-shifts every day with both the Drivers reviewing safety, quality, department performance, and company performance, along with issues that need to be addressed.
· Assist Drivers with issues while they are on the road
· Work with Customer Service and Engineering on scheduling all jobsites. Pair up nearby sites to run a more profitable and efficient route.
· Create a Training Plan for all new hires.
· Coordinate Rescue Plans daily with Customer Service and Production to ensure glass gets complete and delivered.
· Build routes for shipment and set a plan for the night shift on the order of routes that need to be loaded to ensure drivers with longer trips are leaving. Route all backorders for the next possible shipment and communicate plan to customer service.
· Communicate to PM Shift the loaders plan and any carryover from AM shift that needs to be finished.
· Review attendance daily and follow up with individuals who have infractions.
Qualifications
· Previous work experience within Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain, and/or Warehouse setting.
· 2-3 years of experience in a Logistics Coordinator roll or Shipping Team Lead role, responsible for a fleet of 10 trucks.
· Understanding of DOT regulations and laws is required.
· 4-year College Degree within Supply Chain/Business or equivalent work experience preferred.
· Ability to communicate throughout various departments in ensure finished products are being shipped out on time
· Fundamental understanding of the movement of products through a multi-process manufacturing environment, and the need to keep on top of daily schedules.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
