As a Dispatcher, you are a key member of the team and act as the operation hub. You work closely with installers, technicians, customer service and inside sales to ensure a smooth work flow and successful operation.
You lead by example, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and think in a logical and progressive manner. Confident and detail-oriented, you are accustomed to working in fast paced environments and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day day-to-day basis.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Schedule installation in a efficient manner to meet companies daily sales goals.
- Schedule appointments/estimates insuring timely service and sending the technician with the proper skill set to customers.
- Responsible to manage installs and appointments to maximize efficiency and meet companies sales and productivity goals on a daily basis.
- Communicate with customers to keep them informed regarding appointments and estimated time of arrivals throughout the day.
- Managing customer complaints regarding timeliness of technicians arriving to the customers home or business.
- Order glass as technicians sell jobs in the field.
- Sell home and business glass services to customers, when necessary
- Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Prior experience with dispatching in the trade service business is a significant plus.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage, direct and communicate with technicians who can be strong willed.
- Ability and comfort level in communicating and managing what can be difficult customer situations when rescheduling or adjustment to route schedules and times of service are required.
- Ability to prioritize and operate under pressure and what can often be a stressful environment.
- High level of reliability
- Computer literate, with working knowledge of work processing, business software and spreadsheet applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
