Position Overview:
The Glass Cutter will perform a wide range of duties. This position requires the handling of glass and various other products related to the glass industry. We’re seeking skilled and dependable Glass Cutters to join our production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately cutting raw glass sheets to size using both automated and manual tools, while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Support operation of two CNC glass cutting tables and manual cutting tools
- Review and interpret cutting tickets, dimensions, and layouts
- Score and break glass sheets according to specifications
- Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality
- Handle glass safely and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily output goals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cutting area
Qualifications:
- Ability to read measurements, and cutting diagrams
- Comfortable lifting glass and working on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- High school diploma or equivalent
