Glass Farm Nursery is seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee all aspects of our retail operations. As the Retail Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of our nursery retail space. You will play a pivotal role in driving sales, maintaining high standards of customer service, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail nursery, including inventory management, stocking, and merchandising.
- Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all staff members deliver a welcoming and knowledgeable experience to every customer.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of retail associates. Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
- Sales and Performance: Set sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and implement strategies to achieve sales goals. Analyze sales data and trends to optimize inventory and product offerings.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe retail environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Retail Manager or similar managerial role in a retail environment, preferably in the gardening or nursery industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of gardening products, plants, and horticulture is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Horticulture, or a related field is advantageous.
