Position Description
Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C., a well-respected law firm based in downtown Norfolk, Virginia, is seeking to add a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team! The Compliance Specialist is a member of the Special Handling Team and handles claims of fraud, disputes, and complaints for client review.
This is a fast-paced work environment and requires great attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have experience in consumer debt collection or in a high-volume law firm.
Pay depends on experience and qualifications.
The duties/expectations of
the Compliance Specialist include:
1.
Review claims of fraud, disputes, and complaints. Escalate the matter to clients with supporting
evidence according to client standards.
2.
Draft written responses to complaints, disputes, validation
requests and fraud claims.
3.
Review call recordings to determine the nature of the complaint or
escalation.
4.
Process bankruptcy and deceased notifications.
5.
Understand client and firm standards and communicate them to other
staff members.
6.
Communicate with clients regarding investigations and escalations
7.
Assemble responses and supporting documentation for attorney
review and mailing.
8.
Generate letters for attorney review. Review the contents of the
letter to ensure accuracy.
9.
Assist in other aspects of Compliance on an as needed basis.
10.
Understanding of the FDCPA is preferred.
