How will you make an impact?
Glaukos is seeking a dynamic Director, US Academic Programs to lead and expand our Regional Academic Manager (RAM) program in ophthalmic technology. This role focuses on training, education, and technology integration within leading teaching institutions. You’ll lead and manage a team of RAMs, support surgeons in achieving optimal patient outcomes, and drive adoption of our technology through surgical training, wet labs, and educational events.

Glaukos is seeking a dynamic Director, US Academic Programs to lead and expand our Regional Academic Manager (RAM) program in ophthalmic technology. This role focuses on training, education, and technology integration within leading teaching institutions. You’ll lead and manage a team of RAMs, support surgeons in achieving optimal patient outcomes, and drive adoption of our technology through surgical training, wet labs, and educational events.
What will you do?
- Lead & Expand the US Academic Programs: Recruit, train, and manage RAMs to meet company goals.
- Surgeon Training & Support: Oversee surgical education and proctoring for residents and attending surgeons. Develop a best in class wet lab training and execute at target institutions. Convert patients to iStent/iDose technology utilizing the Glaukos Practice System (GPS).
- KOL & Institutional Engagement: Develop relationships with key opinion leaders and academic institutions.
- Market & Competitive Strategy: Attend industry events, monitor market trends, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and clinical teams to ensure seamless technology adoption.
- Bachelor's degree (Business/Marketing preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 12 years in medical sales (ophthalmic surgical experience preferred).
- 4 years in ophthalmic pharmaceuticals and successful management experience.
- Experience in ophthalmic teaching environments (working with residents) is a must.
- Strong track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and building/retaining teams.
- Proficiency in CRM software and budget management.

Salary : $165,000 - $225,000
