The Senior Accountant is a key member of the finance and accounting team, responsible for supporting accounts receivable functions, financial reporting, and audits. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, including payment applications, credit limit assessments, and account reconciliations.
- Manage AR-related system testing, including routine patch updates and modifications.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for management.
- Work cross-functionally with various departments and external stakeholders.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by responding to inquiries and ensuring compliance with SOX controls.
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations with minimal supervision.
- Manage the month-end/quarter-end close process for AR, as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures as the company expands into new and existing markets.
- Handle additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting principles (journal entries, reconciliations, etc.).
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.) and MS Office.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a structured manner.
- Experience working in high-growth environments is a plus.
