We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Team. In this role you will oversee the entire delivery department which includes drivers, helpers, and driver check-in personnel. You will be responsible for ensuring drivers meet DOT and CMV criteria and oversee company delivery fleet’s maintenance program.
Our Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or minimum of five (5) years related experience.
Our Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
- Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Platforms – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email Software.
- Strong logistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills in directing and coaching others.
Your Responsibilities
- Train new Drivers and Driver helpers on Glazer’s Beer and Beverage delivery policies.
- Conducts safety meetings and trains staff members on safety issues.
- Ensure that all drivers have current and updated DOT/CMV/Medical Card certifications and licenses.
- Oversee the daily maintenance of the Roadnet Routing System.
- Directs dispatching and routing activities and tracks delivery vehicles.
- Schedules all department personnel’s vacations and time off request.
- Responsible for the recruiting and hiring of all Drivers and Driver Helpers.
- In collaboration with other managers, develops and implements policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for delivery operations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to drive a delivery vehicle up to 10 hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift between 40-50 lbs. for an extended period.
