JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Clerk is primarily responsible for the delivery and distribution of supplies to GLBHC sites. Secondary responsibility is the initiation of supply requisitions, and stocking of supplies.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

- Responsible for maintaining inventory of medical, office and house-keeping supplies. Reorders supplies as needed. (25%)
- Responsible for the delivery of inter-departmental mail, patient charts and pharmaceuticals to GLBHC sites. (15%)
- Arranges for delivery of supplies to all sites in a timely manner. (15%)
- Verifies contents of orders arriving in storeroom through comparison of packing slip and original requisitions. (20%)
- Initials and dates requisitions as instructed by maintains appropriate documentation for storeroom files. (5%)
- Maintains documentation of returns and/or damaged supplies and forwards supplies and proper paperwork to the Inventory Coordinator. (5%)
- Performs and assists in taking physical inventory of supplies and equipment on hand, several times a year. (5%)
- Ensures receipt of pertinent Safety Data Sheet with each shipment. (5%)
- Performs daily inspection of vehicle, before each use. (5%)

MARGINAL JOB DUTIES
- Assists with Purchasing as necessary.
- Meets with Sales Representatives as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Licensure: Valid Michigan Chauffeur's license with DOT. Must be insurable by GLBHC (required)
- Experience: Knowledge of inventory control procedures and standards. Previous experience working in shipping and receiving, preferably in a medical setting, helpful.
- Skills: Excellent driving record, organized, attention to detail, files numerically and alphabetically. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Some computer skills.
- Interpersonal skills: Ability to relate to others in a courteous manner. Ability to learn and adopt to varied work assignments.
- Physical Effort: Must be able to sit, stand, and or walk for an entire workday. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and or twist while holding up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Hours of Work: Full-time; Flexible and varied.
- Travel: Company vehicle provided. Local travel which may involve use of personal vehicle. Reimbursement in accordance with GLBHC policy.
