About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a travel nurse in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced emergency settings, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assessing patients' conditions and developing individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as ordered by physicians and according to hospital policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment plans.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process changes that enhance patient care.
Requirements:
- Certified Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in Maryland or eligibility for licensure by endorsement.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Department setting, preferably as a staff nurse.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and interdisciplinary teams.
- BLS certification, ACLS certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull heavy equipment, and stand/walk for extended periods.
