Manages the Human Resources shared resources, with responsibility for oversight of all HR functions within the US locations, including Payroll, Benefits, Recruitment, Performance Management and compliance.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the Talent Management Process (US), associated metrics (The Talent Management Index – TMI) and Talent Management Reviews. This includes Assessment of Talent, Acquisition of Talent, Development of Talent and Retention of Talent.
- With local HR support, evaluates and improves the compensation system structures and processes at Gleason US locations.
- Provides support and oversight to US Benefit Manager and benefit programs.
- One of the key sponsors and owners of the HRIS Ceridian Dayforce (US only). Promotes the common use and features to automate information flow and transactions optimizing utilization.
- Identifies and makes recommendations for short and long-term human resource programs and initiatives that are aligned with corporate strategies supporting all US operations.
- Provides mentoring and counseling to members of the US management team and high potential employees to enhance the effectiveness of the organization.
- Learns and supports key employee development initiatives including the leadership development program and Gleason Business Principles training.
- Strategic focus with an ability to drive execution of goals and deliverables
- Will be required to travel (domestically) approximately 10% of the time
- Experience with managing compensation systems and benefits plans
- Knowledge of US federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project and process management skills, along with financial and analytical acumen.
- Strong relationship management skills, including the professional maturity and confidence to work effectively with senior executives
- Tactful, diplomatic, collaborative with internal customers and service providers
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, or other business-related fields
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in human resources (or field requiring many of the required competencies)
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferable
- Relevant experience outside of Human Resources could be a plus
- Experience in identifying training needs of US organizations, developing training materials as well as delivering these concepts to employees
