Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday-Sunday 9am-9pm (May-October)
Position Summary:
The Massage Treatment Manager oversees the experience of all Glen Ivy guests, from the initial greeting to the warm farewell. He or she will manage the daily work habits and operations of the Massage Therapists, as well as assist in daily oversight of the Spa Concierge, Spa Attendants, Estheticians and Nail Technicians. Promotes the core values of the company and embodies the vision, mission, values and commitments it stands for. The Massage Treatment Manager will guide the team into a vibrant, accountable group with a high sense of urgency and guest focused sensibility by leading the team with hands-on approach and high-visibility. The Massage Treatment Manager will ensure the Massage buildings are clean, well-stocked and beautifully merchandised.
Position Qualification Requirements:
Education/Training: High School diploma required. Some college preferred, with a concentration in Hospitality Management a plus, CPR Preferred. Current license in Massage Therapy or Cosmetology preferred but not required. Member of a professional organization such as ISPA, ABMP, AMTA, PBA, or NCEA preferred.
Experience:
1-2 years hospitality experience preferred
1-2 years Management experience preferred
1-2 years Massage Therapy preferred
Resort/Spa experience, a plus
Experience with POS software, a plus

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Guide and train staff
Assist in training on product knowledge, brand identity, general Resort information and Sales techniques
Support and nurture employees in developing their skills
Manage and motivate the team to meet/exceed daily, weekly and monthly goals
Maintain knowledge of current trends in the massage/resort/wellness industries and share with the team
Ensure the team attends required meetings: sales, safety, monthly dept., and participate as needed
Assist in the interview process; interview potential staff and complete necessary paperwork to fill open positions
Address inter-department compliance issues, with the assistance of the Spa Manager when appropriate
Assist in overseeing physical inventories and regular cycle counts
Work with Warehouse and Purchasing Coordinator to ensure all products are ordered and received
Work closely with vendor partners and ensure the dynamic of the relationship remains strong
Ensure staff is able to take proper lunch breaks and provide coverage as needed for Breaks
Adjust and maintain the schedules of employees
Constant review of profitability
Collaborate with all Departments
Assist in other Spa Service areas and work closely with all leaders
Respond to guest concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
Monitor and report guest count throughout the day and recommend/make adjustments to staffing levels as needed
Send out Spend per Guest (SPG) and Massage initiatives at designated times
Lead or participate in the morning kick-off meeting.
Prepare staff for the day ahead in a manner that is positive and that encourages camaraderie
Perform Room checks and document violations
Create, edit and update Glen Ivy Way documents
Opening and Closing Manager duties as needed
Weekly or daily Update and recap to Director of Spa on Massage items
Completion of Purchase orders
Selection and purchasing of all retail and professional inventory for the Massage
Motivation of staff and management of staff incentives
Area walks for stock and cleanliness
Assist in the delivery of the Marketing Calendar initiatives
Communication to staff any and all pertinent information
Attend trade shows
Participate in the Quarterly department meetings
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Keep a with pleasure attitude
Optimize room utilization to increase the profitability of spa services
Keep record of treatment room equipment maintenance/inventory
Post positive guest comments from survey for employees to review
Approve/deny employee time off based on business needs
Meet labor budget
Deliver routine coaching, performance improvement plan counselings and corrective actions
Ensure current licensing, continuing education and license renewals are up to date
Understand and support skincare retail sales minimums
Oversee product control using the first in first out policy
Complete service providers Balanced Score Cards
Update quarterly schedule alignment based on Balanced Score Card number within the job families
Visit service buildings continuously
Build and maintain strong relationships with individual employees
Assist in any activity deemed necessary for the normal operations of the service provider departments
Maintain appropriate decorum, appearance and professionalism at all times
Follow all company guidelines, procedures, and safety requirements
Employee recognition
Act as Manager on Duty as needed
Address guest concerns with employees and log on the infractions log
Perform massage and body services as needed (if licensed)
