Position Summary
This is a direct patient-service position as a front-line reception, patient registration and appointment scheduler, floating between both our hospital and clinic Patient Access areas. Primary responsibilities include a strong customer focus while completing reception duties, patient registration for provider and consultant appointments, telephone interactions, hospital inpatient, outpatient, urgent care and emergency patients. This role will also assist with MyChart and in-person appointment scheduling and completes general office clerical duties.
Education and Experience
Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range.
Hourly Range: $19.15-$26.21

Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED equivalent.
- Medical terminology coursework, with medical secretarial/administrative degree.
- Previous medical office experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, internet-based programs, and ability to operate a variety of office equipment is required. Strong working knowledge of Epic EMR preferred.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Interacts with others using tact and professionalism.
- Possess a welcoming presence and uses proper phone etiquette.
- Maintains confidence and discretion while handling sensitive patient information.
- Possess initiative and good judgment. Attention to detail is imperative.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Supports GRH mission, quality improvement goals, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
