Schenectady County's Glendale Nursing Home is seeking a Part Time Resident Support Workers on either the morning shift (6am-2pm) or evening shift (11:30am-7:30 pm).
Pay starts at $16.88 per hour
Part time positions are scheduled 24 hours per week,
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Resident Support Workers perform a variety of tasks in support of the resident. Responsibilities require some knowledge of basic laundry duties, preparing and serving meals, and involvement with resident activities.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
- Folds, sorts and distributes laundry;
- Organizes and transports both clean and dirty laundry;
- Uses machines to wash or dry laundry as needed;
- Sets tables, cleans tables of dirty dishes, cleans dining rooms and places dirty clothing protectors in bins;
- Cleans meal trays, dining room tables and chairs;
- Assists in the preparation of food as directed;
- Heats pre-cooked meals and prepares meal trays;
- Assists residents with a variety of tasks such as sorting laundry and escorting them throughout the building;
- Cleans dish and linen closets;
- Washes dishes by hand or machine.
