We are currently seeking an experienced on-site Property Manager to oversee the daily operations and fiscal success of our community and property management team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, legal administration, and customer relationship management. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively negotiate contracts, manage conflicts, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations. The Property Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the property, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including Fair Housing regulations.
- Partner with support of senior leadership to maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, occupancy and resident satisfaction/retention goals.
- Manage tenant relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality service at competitive rates.
- Maintain accurate records and files related to property management activities using Yardi or similar property management software.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the legal team on any issues related to tenant agreements or disputes.
- Lead, guide, and supervise leasing and maintenance staff in their roles. Provide training and support to staff on customer relationship management best practices.
Requirements
- 3-5 yrs. minimum proven experience in property management.
- In-depth knowledge property management best practices, Fair Housing regulations and legal administrative processes.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft 365, Yardi or similar property management software is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Ability to build positive relationships with tenants, staff, and vendors.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
