A member of the Senior Leadership Team, the VP leads the HR function, overseeing talent management, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations and engagement, ensuring compliance with employment law, while also contributing to the organization's strategic goals and mission. As a partner in driving and sustaining a positive, Strengths-informed organizational culture, the VP administers and innovates human resources programs and policies that support Glenmeadow goals and engages the workforce. Advises leadership on all human resources matters with broad and current subject matter knowledge that includes expertise in federal and state employment law.

Strategy and Policy
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with Glenmeadow’s mission and goals.
- Integrate HR initiatives into the broader organizational strategy with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with the President to define and execute Glenmeadow’s vision as a Strengths-informed organization.
- Develop and execute staffing strategies, including forecasts and competitive wage analyses.
- Administer policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the Staff Handbook.
- Develop policies and practices to attract, screen, and select staff.
- Ensure compliance with EEO statutes and educate management on hiring decisions.
- Design and implement a retention-focused new employee orientation program.
- Conduct employee exit interviews to determine reasons for separation.
- Organize career fairs and workshops to promote Glenmeadow as a great workplace.
- Engage in marketing for open positions, recruiting, interviewing, and assessing candidates.
- Administer regular staff engagement surveys.
- Analyze and monitor salary levels, compensation structures, and benefits options.
- Manage ADP, the Human Resources information system.
- Oversee pay practices, timekeeping, and leave administration for compliance.
- Maintain employee data, including benefits participation and personnel transactions.
- Design and maintain efficient HR systems.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
- Maintain staff records and coordinate training and professional development.
- Oversee the analysis and communication of legally required records.
- Conduct investigations of non-compliance reports.
- Administer performance review programs for effectiveness and equity.
- Review and approve management recommendations for employment termination.
- Represent Glenmeadow at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Lead staff appreciation efforts to promote engagement and retention.
- Facilitate effective communication and address employee relations matters.
- Collaborate with managers on problem resolution and provide coaching, as appropriate and necessary.
- Champion consistent internal communications and HR strategy updates.
- Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carriers.
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and seminars.
- Maintain professional presence and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate courteous and cooperative behavior with all stakeholders.
- Exhibit professional standards in appearance and demeanor.
- Perform work assignments to meet quality and timeliness objectives.

Required Education And/or Experience
- A BA/BS in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
- A minimum of recent 5 years (7 years in lieu of a degree) experience managing human resources programs such as recruitment, administration of benefits, compensation, employee relations and other human resources programs.
- Minimum of a Professional Human Resources (PHR) certificate
- Experience working with ADP and the Microsoft Office 365 Suite of software.
- Working knowledge of Massachusetts employment laws and practices.
- Ability to work in person in Longmeadow, MA.
- Complete understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
- Ability to navigate complex HR challenges with a solutions-oriented approach
- Proven ability to work on and facilitate cross-functional teams
