Position Summary
The Pool Director is responsible for a variety of management and supervisory duties related to the overall operations of the pool/aquatics facility, seasonal employees; plan, organize, coordinate, develop, implement, promote, and evaluate aquatic activities and programs for the club members.
Principal Responsibilities include:
- Supervisor of all pool operations.
- Monitors members/guests activities during pool usage.
- Designs and implements all pool programs, activities and lessons. Includes all clinics, swim team, water exercise programs, and educational programs.
- Staffs and schedules all personnel and maintains member/guest sensitive and growth oriented work environment.
- Works with Swim Team and Coaches
- Maintains a safe environment for all
- Maintains cleanliness of pool deck, entrance and surrounding area.
- Properly markets and promotes pool programs to maximize member/guest utilization and participation.
- Works closely with General Manager and Spa Director to match program offerings to member’s needs.
- Maintains high profile with members/guests and acts as a strong role model for other pool team members.
Requirements:
- Execution of the above listed duties, and additional duties as deemed necessary, professionally, in a timely manner and with critical thinking.
- Certified Lifeguard, CPR for Professional Rescuer
- Safety Training, First Aid, and teaching experience a plus
- Environmental Conditions:
- Involves outside and inside elements (i.e. sun, heat exposure, insects). Some contact with liquid chlorine and muriatic acid
Compensation:
- Salary position. Full-time with hourly conversion for hours outside of the season or partial work weeks.
