Teacher - Head Start (Villa Preschool, Willows)

- Responsible for the supervision of three and four-year-old preschool children - Responsible for the daily classroom preparation and clean up - Assist and guide parent/community volunteers in the center - Implement Creative Curriculum for Preschool as identified - Responsible for observations and documentation of Child Outcomes - Ensure compliance with Title 22, Community Care Licensing for a childcare facility and policies and procedures as applicable - Conduct home visits and parent conferences with each family assigned during the school year, as per model design - Ensure a safe and healthy environment for preschool children - Support parent engagement at all levels of the department - Participate in all family activities and parent committee/workshops and meetings, as scheduled - Maintain accurate documentation as assigned - Appropriately redirect children’s behaviors when needed - Assist with diapering procedures as needed - Step into the role of the Teacher/Director in his/her absence - Associate Arts degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with the understanding that you must be enrolled in a program leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in order to fully qualify for the position. - Hold or qualify for a Teacher Permit; to include 24 units of ECE/CD courses, plus 16 General Education units. Visit https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/req-child-dev for permit requirements. - One year of adult supervisory experience in a childcare and/or preschool setting. - Ability to lift and/or move up to 10-30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. - Valid California driver license and insured reliable transportation.

Salary : $165 - $179
