Hotel Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: Maintains the physical condition of the property according to established operating and safety standards, ensuring that service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner. Must able to communicate verbally and written, be presentable, courteous and have dependable transportation.

Job Duties:

• Performs general guest room and public area maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment.
• Check on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making repairs where necessary.
• Provides guest room service/repair status by interacting and updating CMMS on site.
• Completes hotel room and building repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, and painting. Performs repairs on toilets, sinks, laundry facilities, kitchen and other hotel property.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel, grounds and pools.
• Responds in a timely, courteous manner to guest questions, complaints or requests.
• Properly maintains tools, work spaces and equipment.
• Completes preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.
• In charge of table and chair set-up for event center when group travel is expected
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of hotel or apartment experience.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing maintenance.
• Experience with general maintenance tools.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upward.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Salary dependent on experience. $16.00 to $19.00/hour dependent on experience
