What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Clinical Manager position at Glenwood Village Care Center, Inc.?
The primary purpose of your job position is to plan resident care and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of your assigned neighborhood. The clinical manager is responsible to coordinate and collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident. The coordination of care and supervision of staff must be following current standards of practice and federal and state regulations to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Position Requirements: Current registration as a Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota.
- Current certificate of CPR.
- Leadership abilities and knowledge of principles of supervision.
- Clinical experience and experience in geriatrics.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with other staff members and department managers.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English language.
- Must be knowledgeable of current nursing and medical standards and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, residents, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. that are necessary for providing quality care.
- Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must be able to function independently, professionally, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies.
- Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession and to maintain licensure.
