Position Overview

GLG's Production Specialist leverages GLG's core asset - the GLG Network - to participate in small and midsize group meetings, roundtables, conferences, and seminars, both remote and in person, as well as virtual events including webcasts and teleconferences with clients and GLG Network Members. This position will focus on the development and programming of multiple meetings around select industry segments, which will vary by need, and will connect the industry's most notable experts with business and investment leaders throughout the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational & logistical management of multiple meetings and events, including but not limited to :
  • Responsible for coordinating with Network Members to strategically schedule their meetings in alignment with conference programs and other industry events

  • Assist in organizing private meetings with Network Members for ad hoc projects involving diverse stakeholders, ensuring timely execution under urgent deadlines
  • Serve as the on-call point of contact during remote events to address and resolve issues promptly, while also acting as a production host to oversee and manage technical operations
  • Act as the primary point of contact in New York during roundtables and in-person events, ensuring seamless execution by managing all on-site logistics such as food deliveries, client arrival and departures along with overseeing the check-in process and technical issues
  • Travel arrangements for GLG Network Members and internal teams
  • Budget and financial management, with emphasis on project-based profitability and ROI
  • Facilitation of content focusing on multiple projects, including but not limited to :
  • Assisting with content for event materials, including promotional and descriptive copy

  • Researching and suggesting alternative GLG Network Members for ongoing project requests based on content needs
  • Partnership with internal team managing multiple meetings and event projects, with a strong emphasis on :
  • Following process standards and showing strong decision-making abilities

  • Managing speakers and client's participation both directly and in collaboration with internal partners
  • Client-facing, customer service expertise including effective and professional oral and written communication
  • Required Skills

    Potential candidates must possess :

  • Bachelor's degree, equivalent experience, or certification(s) in related industry
  • 2-3 years of post-undergraduate experience in positions of increasing responsibility within an event management firm, conference or tradeshow producer, or related corporate experience
  • Across all positions, we insist upon excellence, integrity, creativity, and high-level of professionalism
  • Event production experience including :
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively including managing multiple meetings and events at one time

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including basic copy-editing
  • Successful track record of working in a team environment
  • Proven ability to work in a rigorous, fast-moving work environment while being adaptable to changes in work scope
  • Drives results while striving for consistency and process compliance
  • Previous experience with client servicing, quality control, or quality assurance preferred
  • High levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (including Excel and Word) and other database and technology tools are required

  • Compensation : GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

    The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is :

    56,900-$58,000 USD
