Summary
The FRC Program Aide position that is funded via the Basic Needs Contract is the first point of contact for families. The Program Aide sits at the front desk of the Family Resource Center and creates a welcoming environment for support for all its clients. In this role you will conduct assessments and intakes as needed in collaboration with the Program Assistant. This position will keep inventory of all Basic Needs supplies and submit order lists to the Program Manager to keep the inventory stocked and well organized. This position will also support programming for parents and children as part of the Family Resource Center team.
This is a part time (20 hour/week) position.
This position requires evening and/or weekend work and the FRC BN Aide must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This role is covered by the collective bargaining agreement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Greet all participants courteously and ensure everyone has a smooth check-in process.
- Works as a part of team in putting on events for families and the community. Events have many moving parts and work performed includes outreach for the event, setting up and taking down, serving food, and ushering families.
- GLIDE’s FRC offers “Child Watch” for clients. This includes the Program Aide to provide a safe space for children while the parents attend programming (which is typically for an hour).
- Maintain an organized and welcoming front office environment by making sure the informational flyers and pamphlets are stocked and available to everyone. And to ensure the available toys and small children’s area is maintained and organized.
- Provide information and referrals to all clients; will provide intake and assessments as needed. Intake and Assessments are filled out by parents with staff assistance. Information is collected for providing services and funding purposes.
- In collaboration with Program Assistant, will manage and track the inventory and distribution of food, diapers and other basic needs.
- Participate in outreach to bring awareness to the community about Glide services.
- Experience working with the targeted population (small children, communities of color, immigrant/homeless families).
- Model professional and ethical standards. Engage in productive and appropriate relationships with children and/or youth, parents/guardians and staff.
- Respects and keeps confidentiality of participants receiving basic needs.
- Must have efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, attending and actively participating in staff and individual meetings.
- Looking for someone who is proactive and enjoys working as a Team.
- Demonstrates initiative and cultural competency and could work effectively across cultures.
- Must pass Dept. of Justice Fingerprint screening
- Must complete the following immunizations: TB, MMR, TDAP, Flu vaccination
