The journey begins here - with Global- a 1st Flagship Company, we are currently looking for an Outside Machinist (2nd Class).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Installation, alignment, operation and repair of diesel and gasoline engines, fire pumps, air driven reciprocating and centrifugal twittering and oil shifting pumps, air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration equipment, liquid-blast engine and pump, drill presses, lathes, milling machines, boring mills, grinders, etc.
- Overhauls, services, repairs, adjusts, and maintains mechanical equipment as required.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Four (4) years of relevant ship or industrial mechanic machinist experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and qualify to operate government/company vehicles in accordance with the Corporate Fleet Vehicle Safety Manual.
Preferred:
- Four (4) years of experience serving in a Navy Engineering rating.
