Job Description:
The IT Asset Management Support Technician will be responsible for key functions related to asset management, including staging/imaging, onboarding provisioning for end users, laptop refresh, receiving non-functional IT assets, inventory control, and coordinating packing and shipping between buildings. The role ensures proper inventory tracking and maintenance of inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite computer staging and imaging.
- Review and verify inventory counts to maintain accuracy.
- Assist with asset deliveries to end users.
- Maintain chain-of-custody for inventory from receipt to customer delivery using asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Assist with imaging of computer inventory (Windows) and ensure proper storage for distribution.
- Prepare non-functional IT equipment for disposal.
- Ensure compliance with data-retention hold procedures for all assets.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience deploying and setting up physical laptops with Windows 10 (Windows 11 preferred).
- Proficiency in configuring Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Edge, OneDrive, Teams) on Windows devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows-related issues (performance, network, peripheral problems).
- Ability to maintain accuracy when updating devices in the hardware inventory database in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing 10-50 lbs regularly.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Preferred experience in inventory management, equipment maintenance, and data entry.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently.
