What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Global Behavior Education Alliance, Inc.?
Common occupational therapy interventions include assisting children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, facilitating independence in self-care daily living activities, and providing supports for those experiencing physical and cognitive changes.
NOTE : This position is benefit eligible for part-time candidates as long as they are willing to split time between our Nashville and Manchester locations and build up to a full-time schedule as caseload increases.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individualized evaluations, during which the client / family and Occupational Therapist determine the clients' goals.
- Create a customized intervention plan to improve the clients’ ability to perform daily activities and reach the goals set forth in the plan of care.
- Evaluate outcomes and ensure that goals are being met. Make plan adjustments as needed.
- Provide direct treatment sessions as needed.
- Qualifications :
- Master’s degree from an ACOTE certified degree program.
- Active Tennessee licensure.
- Preference for those credentialed with payors.
- Pediatric experience required. Autism spectrum disorder experience a plus.
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals.
