The Welding and Fabrication position will be responsible for joining, fabricating and repairing metal structures and components using a variety of welding equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and work orders
• Prepare surfaces for welding, including cleaning and grinding
• Select and set up appropriate welding equipment
• Weld metal parts using various welding processes
• Inspect welds for quality
• Repair or rework defective welds
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associates degree in welding preferred.
• Demonstrable experience as welder is required. Please specify years of experience on your application
• Strong understanding of welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Working Conditions:

• May work in various positions, including standing, bending and kneeling
• May be exposed to loud noises, sparks and fumes
• Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
