Responsibilities
Core Competencies and Skills
- Cisco Wireless Technologies : Deep understanding of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Access Points (APs), and associated technologies (e.g., RF management, mobility, security).
- Wireless Protocols : Proficiency in IEEE 802.11 standards (a / b / g / n / ac / ax), Wi-Fi Alliance certifications (e.g., Wi-Fi CERTIFIED), and their applications.
- Network Design and Implementation : Ability to design, plan, and implement complex wireless networks, including site surveys, RF planning, and AP placement.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization : Expertise in diagnosing and resolving wireless network issues, optimizing performance (e.g., RF interference, channel utilization, roaming), and ensuring high availability.
- Security : Knowledge of wireless security best practices, including WPA / WPA2(3) encryption, and guest access.
- Automation and Orchestration : Familiarity with network automation tools and orchestration platforms (e.g., Cisco DNA Center) for efficient network management.
