Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is hiring an Operations Manager for our Emergency Response Division. As the Operations Manager, you will supervise and direct personnel, communicate with project managers, project coordinators, customers, and vendors, execute daily workflow, and recruit and retain employees. Global provides heavy industrial cleaning services to utilities, phosphate/ mining, chemical plants, pulp & paper, and manufacturing facilities specializing in hydro blasting and vacuum truck work. We provide customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including preventative maintenance and repairs and full turn-key turnaround services. We also offer a variety of environmental services which include but are not limited to emergency spill response, soil remediation, tank cleaning, soft-dig services, waste transportation, and disposal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the daily operations of the day-to-day.
- Coordinate work schedules/manpower needs.
- Complete and oversee the annual and 90-day “new hire” evaluations of associates of the district.
- Complete administrative tasks such as documenting attendance, customer requests, job packs, project
coordination, and status reports. - Communicate and review disciplinary practices to supervisors and staff to ensure consistency.
- Communicate with subordinates regarding safety, operations, and human resources.
- Coordinate with Fleet to maintain our equipment and manage staff to keep vehicles clean.
- Submit requisition forms to the COO for approval of capital and overhead (non-inventory) purchases.
- Manage the image of our staff by enforcing our uniform dress code.
- Recruit/Interview staff.
- Manage inventory supplies.
- Manage and approve payroll.
- Ensure the retention of quality employees and provide training necessary for career development.
- Order and Manage inventory supplies.
- Control and manage the cost of operations.
- Ensures the completion and quality of all tasks performed by staff.
- Follow OSHA guidelines and Global’s safety standards (as detailed in RAVS).
- Grow relationships with customers and vendors.
- Provide job estimates as needed.
- Issue per diem as needed.
- Inform employees of job duties and expectations.
- Oversee the daily operations of the day-to-day.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Rotate the “On-Call” schedule for the district.
- Schedule manpower with customer’s needs.
- Work with the team to complete assigned tasks.
- Prepare and submit weekly utilization reports to the COO.
- Prepares status/performance updates to present at weekly operations meetings.

Accounts Receivable, Safety Managers, Fleet Managers, and Sales Team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-8 years experience managing and scheduling employees to perform industrial cleaning services and
environmental remediation. - Prior experience in environmental emergency response and/or industrial cleaning is required.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and be able to interface with employees at all levels of the company.
- Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
