Maintenance Manager

We are looking for an experienced and confident Maintenance Manager to join our team located at our Reynolds, IN manufacturing facility. This position will report to the Business Unit Manager and be responsible for managing the day-to-day maintenance on the plant floor while increasing uptime and equipment throughput. This position will also manage scheduling, overseeing daily schedules, improving quality by providing leadership and the carrying out of strategic plans utilizing Lean/TPM philosophies. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with an analytical mind and excellent interpersonal communication skills, and will have a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, especially TPM. This position is a working position with 50% management/strategy and 50% hands on.

Responsibilities:

Provide overall maintenance management for day-to-day operations

· Oversee daily maintenance operations and tasks.

· Review and optimize schedules and assignments in CMMS.

· Directly manage a staff of multiple Technicians.

· Report and track expenses to reduce costs.

· Manage maintenance spare parts and inventory accuracy for such parts.

Develop and implement maintenance strategies

· Optimize productive time for maintenance by eliminating unnecessary processes, and building proactive work, while reducing reactive work.

· Building and maintaining equipment health listing, as well as a regular short term and 3-5 year plan.

· Work with Business Unit Manager to build Cap-Ex plan for the team, to effectively plan and avoid major failures or unsupported equipment.

· Implement Lean Manufacturing, and train and develop associates in these principles.

· Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas to improve.

· Create and implement changes to improve current processes and reduce costs.

· Prepare operating reports and budgets.

Ensure safety, compliance and maintenance requirements are being met or exceeded.

· Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety regulations.

· Ensure all compliance needs are met, working closely with the plant staff and EHS Manager.

· Manage contractors, as well as regular programs with janitorial, landscape and overall site conditions (snow removal, parking lot scrubbers, etc.)

· Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working environment.

· Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures and local and state health and safety regulations are met.

Qualifications:

· 5 years previous maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.

· 10 years in the maintenance field in a manufacturing environment.

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field a plus.

· Experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance or practical experience with a comparable philosophy in a leadership capacity, as well as hands-on.

· Strong management skills with ability to supervise multiple personnel.

· Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

· Excellent leadership, team building and management skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.

· Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.

· Project management skills.

· Proficient in Root Case Analysis.

· Experience with CMMS software and implementation.

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), AutoCAD, CMMS, SolidWorks, Allen Bradley is a plus.

· Strong knowledge of local, state and federal health and safety regulations.
