Duties
- Conduct thorough document review and legal research using tools such as Westlaw.
- Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Provide legal administrative support by maintaining case files, managing deadlines, and ensuring compliance with court rules.
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence as needed.
- Utilize PCLaw for case management and billing purposes.
- Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategies and assist during trial preparation.
- Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and electronic documents related to securities law and other areas of practice.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and document management systems is essential.
- Experience in securities law or litigation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing time efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for effective collaboration within the team.
