What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Support Technician position at Global IT Resources?
Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting network migrations, under the guidance of DGIT Network senior staff. Tasks include network documentation, refresh hardware, and assisting in projects to improve the organization’s IT infrastructure.
1. Objectives
- Provide on-site network support in accordance with IT policies and implement them effectively
- Provide on-site support on a variety of network hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Communicate regularly and effectively with the network staff
- Maintain and analyze switches and routers
- Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
2. Skills and Qualifications
- Hands on experience with Network Migration Projects
- Hands on experience with Network Refresh Projects
- Hands on experience in MDFs and IDFs by decommissioning and installing network hardware
- Hands on experience with Cisco Network switches and routers
- Familiar with Palo Alto and Infoblox
- Experienced with Cisco IOS and NX-OS, Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Prime, Palo Alto Panorama, Windows 10 and 11, Apple OS, Linux
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or technical degree preferred
- Ability to provide on-site field technical services for clients with a friendly demeanor
- Support end-user devices and ensure proper connectivity to the network.
- Contribute to IT security initiatives by following organizational best practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
