Description
Global Language Center (GLC) has been working with US State Department for the last 13 years providing foreign language training and administrative support to government officials at the Foreign Language Institute (FSI) in Arlington, VA.
We are seeking a talented Graphic Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. Must have a SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Design various types of graphics including logos, brochures, banners, and other marketing materials.
Typeset text and images for print advertising.
Edit videos for promotional purposes.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, and InVision for design projects.
Collaborate with the marketing team to produce visually appealing content.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new design techniques.
Works with the courseware production team to design and develop graphic/visual effects used in courseware material.
Uses specialized computer software to develop high quality computer illustrations, technical drawings, and animations supporting various media used within the training curriculum.
Uses specialized hardware and software for video/audio capture and editing of multimedia.

Responsible for quality control, review and revision of all aspects of graphics development.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong knowledge of typesetting and print advertising.
Experience in video editing is a plus.
Familiarity with JavaScript for web design projects is advantageous.
Ability to work with various design tools like CorelDraw and InVision.
Creativity and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma
5 years of applied Graphic Artist Experience
Candidate must reside in the DMV area; a US citizen
Candidate must have a secret clearance or eligible to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts and design or a similar field.
10 years of overall professional experience preferred.
