What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deployment & Event Paramedic - Grants Pass position at Global Medical Response?
We're hiring Deployment/Event Paramedics to deliver high-quality patient care and customer service to event guests, venue, event staff, local partners, and wildland teams at special events and deployments in fixed and temporary venues.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 2 years EMS Field Experience - preferably in a moderate to high volume 911 system
* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
* Current Oregon Paramedic license (or ability to obtain through reciprocity)
* Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider or equivalent CPR provider
* Current ACLS Provider
* Current PALS Provider
* Current PHTLS or ITLS Advanced Provider
* S130, S190, & L180 certifications
* ICS 100, 200, 700, & 800 certifications
* Driving record in compliance with AMR policy regarding insurability
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that event activities are aligned with GMR goals and strategic plan.
- Deliver on-site ALS level care in accordance with all applicable medical guidelines and protocols.
- Calmly and professionally responds to calls for emergency medical assistance and public safety issues within assigned venue, deployment, or event area.
- Coordinates and arranges emergent and non-emergent transport for patients to higher level of care.
- Communicate effectively with venue or event staff and other local officials to provide critical information.
- Utilize medical equipment and procedures as required to provide appropriate and high-quality patient care.
- Properly generate and submit all required response and patient care documentation.
- Properly maintain all issued uniforms and response gear and utilize all personal protective equipment.
- Keep current on all required state certifications / licenses.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of ambulances and medical gear, ensuring that all supplies and equipment are in-date and in proper working order.
- Follow all policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all established report times.
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
- Communicates public health / safety issues to venue staff and internal management.
