What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: HR Director position at Global Outreach Doctors?
With only 1 doctor for every 20,000 people in Africa alone, our organization is an important addition to other NGO's providing medical care globally. GoDocs is different than other providers because we deploy with canine search and rescue assets along side medical practitioners to be a complete service from rescue to definitive medical care. We also uniquely offer both eastern and western medical practitioners, providing a much more wide ranging medical service. In addition, deploying with portable SATCOM allows our organization to alert the world of the needs and conditions on the ground. Responsibilities
- Manage a volunteer HR/admin team of 2-5 to ensure all administrative and operational tasks are completed on time.
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of all potential volunteers (including medical, administrative, and Board Director positions).
- Review and file volunteer applications.
- Conduct onboarding procedures and reference checks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Accurately represent GoDocs in Zoom calls and email exchanges with potential partners.
- Lead administrative duties to safely deploy volunteers to missions across the world.
- Assist GoDocs leadership in ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.
- 2-5 years of HR experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help underserved communities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
