What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer position at National Ghost Ranch Foundation, Inc?
WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS
Without our volunteers, Ghost Ranch would not be the place it is today.
There are many roles to play, depending on your skills and interests. Some people love being Greeters at the Welcome Center or the Museums, while others enjoy the meditative work of folding sheets in Housekeeping or cleaning tables in the Dining Hall. If you can build and repair things, we have plenty of projects. If you love being outside, the Ranch’s gardens and landscaping would benefit from your help.
Here are a few particularly important roles:
- Campground Host (must have RV or camper)
- First Aid Volunteer (licensed nurses)
- Chaplain
- Greeter at Welcome Center
- Greeter at Museums
- Housekeeping
- Dining Hall
- Library
- Landscaping
- Outdoor Adventures
FAQs
HOW LONG DO I SERVE?
Volunteers serve from one week up to three months, depending on their availability and the needs of the Ranch.
WHAT ARE MY HOURS?
Volunteers generally give 32 hours of service per week in exchange for housing and meals. Volunteers get two days off per week, but not necessarily weekends.
WHERE DO I LIVE?
Volunteers stay in dorm rooms with shared bathrooms. Because our volunteer housing capacity is limited, we love it when volunteers bring their own camper or RV; they get full use of the Campground Bathhouse. Volunteers eat meals in the Dining Hall. Please note that no pets are allowed, except for campground volunteers who can leave their pet safely unattended in a camper or RV.
