About Global Perinatal Services:
Global Perinatal Services (GPS) is dedicated to providing culturally responsive perinatal support to underserved communities, ensuring that all birthing individuals receive equitable and compassionate care. Our programs focus on providing doula services, maternal health education, and advocacy to improve birth outcomes.
Position Summary:
The Director of Programs is responsible for overseeing all programs and staff at Global Perinatal Services. This role ensures program effectiveness, compliance with funding requirements, and alignment with the organization’s mission. The Director of Programs will prepare reports for grant deliverables, maintain relationships with funders, and contribute to the strategic growth of GPS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for all GPS programs, ensuring quality service delivery and programmatic success.
- Supervise and support program staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and submit reports for grant deliverables, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement program strategies aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Meet with funders to discuss program impact, funding needs, and partnership opportunities.
- Ensure program budgets align with financial resources and grant requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and healthcare professionals.
- Represent GPS at conferences, community meetings, and advocacy efforts related to perinatal health.
- Stay informed about maternal health trends, policies, and best practices to enhance program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Maternal and Child Health, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in maternal health or community-based organizations.
- Strong leadership and staff supervision experience.
- Proven experience in grant management, reporting, and compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage and build relationships with funders and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in perinatal care.
