Job Overview :
The Site Project Manager is the primary representative for systems during the installation, commissioning, and startup portions of a material handling / automation project. Company has a strong, 65 year presence in the North America market. This company is a lead or primary integrator of large and small Material Handling systems involving using in-house software and controls teams within a project.
Job Functions
- Manage the installation, start-up, troubleshooting of supplied equipment in coordination with applicable team
members.
Close coordination with clients and Field Application Engineer as applicable.Assist with final review of equipment layouts and installation drawings redline and / or update installationdrawings where applicable.
Help develop and provide input into Request for Quote (RFQ) for installation contractor selection.Develop Project Reports and publish to project team and / or customer.Manage subcontractor personnel; costs and installation time based on goals / budgets received.Help implement and manage safety processes / protocol to maintain a safe work site.Support sales staff with client questions and system designs.Assist in industrial control system debugging and assistance in equipment acceptance testing.Develop and maintain installation and commissioning check list.Clear and effective communication with management, engineering, customers and other team members.Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.Solve technical problems either individually or through collaboration.Qualifications :
4-year Engineering DegreeMinimum 2 years of relevant experienceStrong interpersonal skills requiredMust be fluent with the MS Office software suiteMust be able to interpret facility and equipment layouts / drawingsSkilled in mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshootingRobotics, Manufacturing or Packaging background a plusPrevious automation experience a plusThe candidate must have a solid understanding of the application of contemporary industrial controlsystems and / or other machine interfaces.
