The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee production flow, implement cost-saving measures, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. As the Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in streamlining manufacturing processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Optimization: Develop and implement efficient production strategies, maintain plant equipment, and reduce costs while ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Project Management: Lead projects from proposal to execution, manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams to identify and resolve production issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide manufacturing engineering support.
- Petersonnel Management: Supervise team members, assign work tasks, evaluate performance, and make personnel decisions to drive team success.
- Cost Analysis and Reporting: Conduct cost estimations, payback analyses, and risk assessments to inform business decisions and track project progress.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques, time management, and developing cost-effective solutions for production line issues.
- Leadership and Development: A strong track record of employee development, team motivation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to produce technical documents, proposals, and clear project timelines and reporting structures.
Qualifications
You must possess:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, etc.) required. A Master's degree in Production or Business Management (MBA) is preferred.
: 12 years in manufacturing, preferably within the munitions industry. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
