Program Officer for Grant Administration

Reporting to the Associate Director for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), the Program Officer for Grant Administration supports the work of the CQI team through grants administration oversight for the Resettlement and Integration (RIS) division. The Program Officer for Grants Administration will work closely with the Programs, Development, Finance, and Administration teams on proposal and contract management, MOU development, and grant reporting. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organization and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.

DUTIES

• Work cross collaboratively with the organization's key stakeholders to implement effective systems for submitting high-quality grant proposals.
• Research funding opportunities from federal agencies and other relevant funders.
• Review notice of funding opportunities (NOFOs) to assess alignment with Global Refuge's mission and programmatic focus and be proactive in the pursuit of these funding opportunities.
• Serve as project manager for proposal preparation and submission for all funding opportunities for Resettlement and Integration Services (RIS) division.
• Review awards and inform relevant units of changes to cooperative agreements, to ensure that contracts and financial awards are managed efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with the Administration department to ensure timely creation of MOUs for new and existing partners throughout the year.
• Collaborate with Programs and Finance staff to ensure the timely submission of reports for required quarterly, semi-annual, or annual deadlines in the relevant portals, e.g., Grant Solutions, MyGrants, etc.
• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of grant-related records in Salesforce.
• Manage affiliate contact information to ensure systems are being maintained up to date, at all times.
• Represent Global Refuge during meetings and convenings and liaise with external stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in non-profits, development, and/or federal grant management, are required.
• Experience in administering and overseeing government grants, including proposal development, contract and cooperative agreement compliance, and reporting.
• Familiarity with funding research tools.
• Proven ability to be flexible in a fast-paced working environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with all levels of various systems, stakeholders, and staff.
• Experience writing and editing compelling proposals, impeccable attention to detail, and clearly interpret technical requirements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, knowledge in database. management, web-based platforms, and other computer applications.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details.
• Ability to accept change and be flexible; focusing on action and outcomes.
• Deep commitment to Global Refuge's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
• Ability and willingness to travel 10% of time.
