POSITION SUMMARY :
We are looking for a mid-level Protection and Control Engineer to join our Renewables Substation team. In this role, you will take charge of the Substation P&C Engineering and Design for large-scale, transmission-connected renewable energy projects. You will collaborate with and guide fellow engineers, designers, and drafters to create project deliverables that meet stakeholder requirements and adhere to relevant codes and standards. As part of the multi-disciplinary Substation Team, you will work alongside the Substation Project Engineer and other discipline leads to ensure that design documents are well-coordinated and consistent across the Physical, Civil / Structural, Relay Settings, and SCADA teams.

JOB FUNCTION :
Performs all aspects of P&C design for high voltage (4kV – 230kV) and EHV (above 230kV) substation projects to include :
Development of all project drawings
- One-lines
- Three-lines
- AC / DC schematics
- Relay panel elevation and BOM
- Control enclosure layout and BOM
- Equipment and Relay Panel Wiring diagrams
- Communication schematics and connection details
Development of studies / calculations
Station service AC load calculations and transformer sizing
Station battery / charger DC load calculations and sizing
CT Saturation studies
Voltage drop / cable sizing
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Transmission Lines, HV / MV Buses, Power Transformers, Cap Banks, etc.
