We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) to join our team. As a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring accurate and efficient blood specimen collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and draw blood specimens skillfully and safely.
- Specimen Processing: Prepare blood specimens for lab testing following established protocols.
- Data Entry: Accurately record patient information and maintain required documentation.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Commitment to company policies and procedures.
- Ability to make informed decisions and exercise good judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical assistant or paramedic training.
- Phlebotomy certification (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
- 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel and work at various locations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated superior customer focus, communication skills, adaptability, and knowledge of the healthcare industry.
