Candidate Value Proposition
- The Trade Finance Operations Analyst will have the opportunity to work for a leading financial institution and build experience in trade finance.
Typical Day in Role
- The Trade Finance Operations Analyst will handle end-to-end processing of Standby Letter of Credit transactions, e.g., issuances, amendments, advises, confirmations, claims, examination of documents, payments, transfers, assignments of proceeds, billing, etc., in Trade360, BESS, LIQ, and CorrRisk systems within authorized limits assigned.
- Trade Finance Operations Analyst will ensure all activities and transactions are processed in accordance with the Bank's Standard Operation Procedures and Trade Finance Anti-Money Laundering/Anti- Terrorist Financing and Sanctions Pre- Transaction Due Diligence Procedures as well as U.S. laws/regulations, OFAC, Anti-Boycott, other compliance regulations and international trade practices.
- Ensure transactions are executed in a timely and accurate manner, in adherence with established Service Level Agreements
- Prepare and review Standby Letters of Credit drafts to respond to drafting requests from clients, and Sales/Execution teams, ensuring that language is in accordance with the Bank's procedures, international standby and industrial practices, as well as compliance and legal requirements
- Respond promptly and effectively to requests, concerns, and complaints from customers, other TSCs, the TSU, and Sales/Execution teams in order to propose workable solutions
- Handle daily and monthly reconciliations between certain systems and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Handle the billing process of GWO LoanOps for out-of-pocket expenses related to SBLC transactions of corporate clients.
- The Trade Finance Operations Analyst will handle investigations to respond to inquiries from clients, Sales/Execution, and the GWO LoanOps team etc.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 1- 3 years of banking experience in Trade Finance operations
- Knowledge of International Banking and Trade Finance operations
- Working knowledge of ISP98, UCP600/ISBP
- Excellent skills in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Experience with SWIFT messages related to Trade Finance transactions
Soft Skills:
- High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team
- Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Working knowledge of the T360, BESS, LoanIQ, CorrRisk, TLM, and GTX systems is a plus
- CDCS is a plus
Degrees or certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business/accounting preferred
