- Operation and Maintenance: Overseeing the daily operations of water treatment and distribution systems, including wells, pumps, filtration plants, and distribution networks.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conducting routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identifying and resolving issues with water treatment systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Recording key performance indicators and generating reports to monitor system performance.
- Compliance: Adhering to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as US Navy guidelines.
- Safety: Prioritizing safety practices and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in water treatment plant operations or related field.
- Certification: Current Hawaii Water Treatment Plant Operator (WTPO) Certification (Grade 1 or higher).
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
