Job Title : Accounts Payable Specialist

Contract Duration : 12 Months

Pay range : $30 - 35 / hr

Work Type : Hybrid

Location : Manhattan, NY

Position Summary :

  • Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with 0-3 years of experience to support a high-profile construction project.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, a foundational accounting background, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • MRI software knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process accounts payable invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining organized financial records for the ongoing construction project.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support overall project financial goals.
  • Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track project expenses effectively.
  • Leverage knowledge of MRI software, if applicable, to enhance reporting and analysis.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred (CPA not required).
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Knowledge of MRI software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

    • Work Environment :

  • This is an onsite role requiring attendance 3 days a week, with an 8-hour workday.
