Job Objective: As a Deburr Operator you will report directly to the deburring supervisor and will be responsible for operating a variety of power & hand tools as well as deburring equipment to remove burrs, nicks, scratches, and rough and sharp edges. Committed to being part of a positive working environment while providing quality products and meeting customer’s schedule.
Essential Job Functions:
· Good mechanical skills.
· Effective communication skills.
· Use hand tools and small power tools.
- Remove burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with power tools.
- Grind, file, sand and polish metal surfaces to a specified shape and smoothness using grinding hand tools.
· Occasional lifting up to 50lbs.
· Stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Good mechanical skills
· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to understand and follow directions to complete assigned tasks.
· Ability to learn how to operate a variety of machines.
Work Environment:
· Usual working days/hours: Monday through Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm; Friday 6:00am – 3:30pm. Working hours are subject to change based on company needs, may require working on Saturday.
· Manufacturing shop environment
· Frequently walks throughout the shop.
· High noise level
Equipment:
· Hand drills, Drill Press, Die Grinder (Dotco), Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gages.
Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Prior aviation assembly experience preferred.
