The Maintenance Manager - under general and intermittent supervision, manages all aspects of maintenance including day-to-day and long-term maintenance to ensure quality work and minimal downtime in a safe and efficient manner at the plant.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- A minimum of eight (8) years experience in Industrial Maintenance.
- High school diploma or GED. BS in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline preferred. Professional certifications would be beneficial.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in the electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic area.
- Strong mechanical and welding knowledge.
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD at an advanced level is required.
- Must prioritize organizational well-being and collaborate effectively with the production team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes severity of maintenance problems and prioritize daily emergencies, to minimize plant down time as well as maximize plant productivity.
- Assigns and instructs subordinates to respective and desired repairs.
- Sets preventative maintenance schedules and monitors all repairs for quality, method of repair and cost effectiveness.
- Collects documentation (i.e. work orders, parts request, completed PM’s, etc.).
- Work with contractors to ensure work is completed according to plant needs.
- Work with vendors and establish good communication to achieve the best possible price on parts and services to meet or save on the maintenance budget.
- Establishes appointments with contractors to service equipment and ensure that deadlines and standards are met.
- Assists with basic plant and field engineering for equipment design, fabrication, and installation.
- Inspects repairs for structural soundness, possible methods to improve operations and cost effectiveness.
- Assists in furnishing for present use and future reference blueprints, sketches and drawings having correct data and dimensions for plant modifications, new installations, and current applications.
- Locates and purchases necessary materials for maintenance repairs. Investigates material substitutions for equipment and process improvements.
- Assists in managing budgetary figures for electrical and mechanical projects and adheres to projected costs.
- Maintains an active cost reduction program, tracking past projects and evaluating new ideas.
- Screens all maintenance and electrical purchase requests, and contacts suppliers on availability, costs, quality, and substitution requirements as needed.
- Track purchases from initiation stage, through delivery/storage, into use or installation and payment approval.
- Generates and tracks paperwork for all electrical and mechanical items purchased and maintains filing system containing equipment history and documentation of all purchased items.
- Ensures a safe working environment for plant maintenance employees, contractors and visitors to the plant site.
- Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing or handling hazardous or non-hazardous materials and wastes.
- Schedules equipment and facility shutdown with production department.
- Checks production records for daily equipment usage and analyzes equipment usage for ways to improve production equipment utilization.
- Maintains the professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Performs work following safety procedures and practices.
- Regular attendance is required between the assigned start and end times for work. Exhibits regular and punctual attendance habit to comply with existing attendance requirements.

Maintenance Manager Pay and Benefits:
- Salary: $ 110k-$120k/ Year. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
