JOB TITLE: Medical Equipment and Instruments Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
This position leads the medical instruments department that supports humanitarian healthcare projects worldwide.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Instruments Coordinator is responsible for the equipment and instrument department. The day-to-day responsibilities include the following:
- Receiving and sorting donated and purchased medical equipment and instruments and supplies
- Organizing and maintaining the equipment and instruments areas
- Processing (entering medical equipment and instruments into inventory system)
- Working with humanitarian partners to define instrument needs for humanitarian purposes
- Building various instrument sets for humanitarian projects
- Checking surgical machines and equipment as needed
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 5 years of experience as a surgical technician or in central processing in a health care institution
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work independently
- Unquestioned Integrity
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree or certification as surgical technician or equivalent.
