We are seeking an experienced IT/IS Manager, who will serve as a primary contact point for information technology (IT) related matters.
The role of Information Systems Manager is to oversee the organization's IT operations and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our information systems to ensure the smooth, efficient and cost-effective operation of all IT related activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of IT best practices.
The typical work week for this full time salaried role is Monday Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or as needed. Job duties include:
- Lead and manage the IT team staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimum performance and high level of customer service to the organization.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all information systems and infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications.
- Perform a variety of technical duties in support of the organization's needs.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Manage IT expenditures, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with financial objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all data and information systems, implementing necessary safeguards and protocols.
- Coordinate and manage RFPs, vendor relationships and service agreements.
- Maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data security, system integrity, and compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science and 5 years of IT leadership experience.
- In-depth knowledge of information systems, networking, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of IT security best practices and data protection regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage day-to-day support needs and multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Preference applied to experience administering Sage X3 or equivalent manufacturing ERP systems and managing virtualized client/server environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, etc.) are a plus.
